Aesculapius is the Roman name of the Greek God of medicine, Asclepius.

Asclepius (Gr.: Asklèpios), the Greek God of medicine, was in the mythology a son of Apollo and the Thessalian daughter of king Coronis. Asclepius was put under control of the Centaur Chiron, who raised him and taught him medicine, by his father.
He was a gifted student that not only he cured the sick, but also brought back to life the dead. Zeus became jealous and killed Asclepius with his lightning. In Greek mythology he was still not a god, but a Thessalian heroes. By Homerus he is a king of Tricca in Thessaly who?s sons, Podalirius and Machaon, where physicians in the Greek army for Trojan.

Aesculapius Care Travel is the initiative of Mehpare Hoen-Titiz. She herself used glasses and lenses for about 22 years. She likes to share her positive experience with Excimer Laser with other Dutch people. She came to the Netherlands in 2002 and focused herself on integration and learning the Dutch language first. She did not just want to integrate into the Dutch society without adding something from her own culture.
Generosity and hospitality are important values of the Turkish culture. Mehpare wants us to experience these values and enjoy them.
Mehpare studied occupational psychology in Istanbul and worked in Human Resources Management for years. At her arrival in the Netherlands she started working with her Dutch husband who is active in the Dutch healthcare service.
