Istanbul Golf Club Golf was introduced to Turkey at the end of 1800s. The first golf club was founded in 1895 in Istanbul as "Istanbul Golf Club." This club had a great role in introducing golf to Turkey.
A century in golf: The Istanbul Golf Club is the fourth oldest golf club in Europe. The Golf Club opened with 8 holes, expanded the course to 18 holes. Today the Istanbul Golf Club at the same location with its 9-hole course, is among the leading golf clubs in Turkey contributing to the spreading of golf in the country after 108 years.
Club House : A new section in the social facilities at the Istanbul Golf Club has been recently opened. The Club House offers a cosy atmosphere for golfers to come together. The restaurant downstairs has a variety of special menus and the lounge upstairs has an overview of the course from its terrace and is a refuge on winter days with its fireplace and television.

The course and club were developed to cater to the affluent Istanbulites residing in the exclusive Kemer Country residential developments that line the lush Belgrade forest that surrounds Istanbul. The conditions and quality of the course are of exceptional standards, and offer challenging golf, on a course described as "tight and short". The club recently played host to the 2002 UBS Warburg Pro-Am in September. Though the course is part of a private club but non-members are welcomed to play for a green fee.

The course belongs to the private Klassis Country Club, but general public may play the course by paying a green fee.
